The Value Of Technology In Education? Priceless. [VIDEO]

You’ve seen those catchy MasterCard ads where some things cost money but the experience is “priceless” right? There’s a popular new video out on YouTube by Silvia Rosenthal Tolisano that takes that same marketing approach and applies it to our favorite topic: technology in education.

From teaching students around the world about Halloween (what’s with those crazy costumes?!) to impressing a global audience (not just your teacher) with a multimedia presentation is…you guessed it…priceless. We totally agree and are huge fans of meshing technology with education.

While this video (below) offers a relatively simplistic approach to implementing technology, it’s overall message is loud and clear: technology can simply create more awareness about the amazing things happening every day in classrooms.

Technology should not be viewed as a tool to replace instruction, it’s a tool to enhance learning. With that being said, enjoy the video.

What do you think? Is technology going to take over classrooms or will teachers always need to rely on the tried-and-true methods? Weigh in by commenting below or tweeting with @edudemic in the tweet. We’ll retweet the best answers!
