I just stumbled across a fantastic video that is actually an animator’s interpretation of a talk given by Dan Pink on the topic of motivation. In the talk he details why researchers at MIT actually found that people don’t simply perform better as they’re offered more money as an incentive. Instead, there seems to be a plateau of ability.
This 10 minute video would be perfect for any teacher looking to enhance a lesson about what motivates people, psychology, sociology, or even just understanding money. Besides, the cartoons are incredible and should be applauded. Enjoy!
