Sure, cell phones are in everyone’s hands these days. But what about back in 1928? I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that ‘sexting’ was not a huge issue back then. Regardless, there is a relatively silly movie being passed around the interwebs today that purportedly shows a woman talking on a cell phone back in 1928 in the background of a Charlie Chaplin film. Here’s why this is likely a hoax or just a woman walking trying to cover her face from the camera:
It’s 1928. There were no cell towers or satellites that could receive a cell phone transmission.
