Imagine if you will: your school turns out to be sitting atop a long-lost priceless treasure and your district is suddenly extremely wealthy. Each student is given an iPad because it’s touted as being a great way for students to learn. (Even Thomas Edison said so!)

Now what? What apps should you use? You don’t want your students playing Angry Birds all day after all. Thanks to Tom Barrett and his many collaborative Google Docs, you don’t need to worry about coming up with innovative ways to use iPads in your classroom. Tom and dozens of other educators are working on a terrific Google Doc (embedded below) that details some wonderful ways to use the iPad in school. If you want to add to the Google Doc, click here.

Good luck Tom on your new venture outside the classroom!

I think the tip #11 is good. Using the mobile mouse would make it easy and comfortable to move about the class. Sometimes I find myself standing in one spot, at the front of the room. Being able to move around would help with classroom management.
