Topics: , , , , ,

You’ve probably seen his work before. It’s gorgeous and colorful…but how do you actually judge if a student *gets* the work of Dale Chihuly? Thanks to Judy Durkin on the new Adobe Education Exchange, there’s a cheat sheet that gives you (and students) a ton of information, images, and even a grading rubric. All in one easy-to-use PDF!

Click here to download this helpful PDF. Here’s the skinny on the resource from Judy herself:

This is an interactive Acrobat file where students view several representative Chihuly works, read from three divergent articles discussing Chihuly’s art, and write an essay discussing their opinion of Dale Chihuly’s place in art history. The Acrobat file links to a FormsCentral file which, at the time of this input, will not allow me to share with you- but! there is a work-around. When you get to the FormsCentral file (it will be obvious), print it out and do what you will with the content. Hazzahh! Make it happen for improved student learning!

Want to check out some of Chihuly’s work? There’s much more to be found in the gallery below and on the Adobe Education Exchange. You can learn more about the artist on the Chihuly homepage here.
