A couple of the Edudemic writers and editors are going to be at the NBC Education Nation Summit in New York City early next week. During that time, we’ll be able to meet, interact, and ask questions with some of the biggest names in education, media, and politics.
So we need your help.

The Edudemic community is made up of thousands of brilliant minds and we want you to help us come up with the best possible questions to ask. In exchange, you’ll be entered to win a free Doxie scanner. We wrote about it a couple months ago and really love it. It scans your documents and sends them right to Google Docs, Twitter, Dropbox and other cloud services. Click here to learn more about the scanner.
So how do you get entered to win the scanner?
STEP ONE: Check out the list of names below and think of what question about education or technology you’d like to ask them. We’ll do it on your behalf at the Education Nation Summit. The event is going to be live-streamed and recorded so you’ll be able to see what they say in real-time, too.
- President Bill Clinton
- U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan
- President of the National Education Association Dennis Van Roekel
- NBC News’ Brian Williams
- NBC News’ Chief Medical Editor Dr. Nancy Snyderman
- NBC News’ Chief Education Correspondent Rehema Ellis
- Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell
- NBC News’ Ann Curry
- NBC News’ Chief Education Correspondent Rehema Ellis
- Actress Jennifer Garner
- Telemundo’s Jose Diaz-Balart
- MSNBC’s Tamron Hall
- NBC News’ Lester Holt
- NBC News’ Natalie Morales
STEP TWO: Once you pick out the name(s) of people you want to ask a question to, go to the Edudemic Facebook page. On there, simply type in your question in the following format: “I would ask XYZ the following question: your_question_here.”
STEP THREE: Watch the NBC Education Nation Summit and listen to how your question is answered! We can’t guarantee all questions will be able to be asked but we’ll try our best.
After the Summit, we’ll randomly pick a submitted question and notify the person that they’ve won the Doxie Scanner. Simple as that!
Please be sure to share this contest with your friends and fellow educators. The more questions, the better. Thanks in advance!
