It’s the biggest weekend of the year for retailers. Cyber Monday is the biggest day for online retailers. It’s also one of the busiest times for scammers and spammers.

You’ve probably gotten more e-mail than usual this morning. Be sure to go through it carefully and only shop with trusted online retailers. Remember, the ‘it’s too good to be true’ adage exists for a reason.

My philosophy for online shopping is simple: you wouldn’t buy an expensive piece of electronics off the back of a truck (well, some might, but still) so why would you do the online equivalent?
