This was a very refreshing article for me. I know the importance of having a good reputation online as well as in the real world . Thank you posting .

  • I didn’t realize it was so many effective reasons for having an good online reputation. T.Fisher is right this is real world where allot of things happen good and bad. “Nothing like a good REP”.

Thanks for this information. I’m going to inform all of my friends now. I never took this so serious before. Now I realize that it’s the small things we pass up that are mostly important.

  • That article is comprehensive and through in bringing awareness to its readers of the scope and magnitude of digital media and the importance of the online activities and discussions you have with others. It reveals that we are indeed under the microscope of the masses at all times. It is the masses and their observation of our online activities that will define the character we betray of ourselves.

  • Living in this digital world requires thought, planning, and well thought out means of communicating. The scope of our conversations is the way we are perceived online. What else is there to determine the character of an online conversation?
Nothing more than our words and tone. This article should be printed out and posted where abusers can take a daily look at what matters and what does not matter online ,and in the lives of each individual. I am not passing judgement. I’m just saying, beware
what you say can harm you.

This is new information I’m receiving about your information online. You would have to maintain a decent rep and keep track of anything being said about you on social websites. Educate peers and family about being careful of the words you chose online. I see your rep is also everything online.

In my line of business I always knew having a good rep (on & off line) is the best way to show who you are to potential employers, business contacts, and social networking. This information confirms it.

I do believe your reputation on-line and off will make or break your career and personal life.
