If you’re thinking about integrating iPads into your classroom (lucky you!), you’re going to need a lot more than just a Smart Cover. Heck, you might want to invest in a metal frame and aluminum cover.
If you’re looking to spend a little less than that but still keep your iPad from falling out of your students’ hands… check out the HeloStrap. It’s 20 bucks and sounds like it would be pretty useful in the classroom.
The HeloStrap secures the iPad to your hand but will allow the device to rotate 360 degrees. This means the iPad can swivel while in the palm of your hand. The HeloStrap even comes in assorted colors: red, green, orange, blue, and black.
Additionally, the strap is easy to apply. One end of the HeloStrap attaches to the upper left corner of the iPad and the other end of the HeloStrap attaches to lower right corner of the iPad. There is a strap in the middle that attaches the iPad to your hand. The strap is made of vinyl and is priced at $19.95 at Amazon.com.

With the device secured to your hand, damage from dropping the devices is decreased. The makers of HeloStrap plan on making other products that will protect other handheld devices too. For example, a strap for your smartphone. Stay tuned!
NOTE: We’re anxiously awaiting a shipment from HeloStrap and will report back with more details soon.
