The oceans are very hip right now. James Cameron has seen to that. He recently touched down in the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean and opened my eyes to just how much we’re all missing by not exploring the deep sea.

The ocean covers about 72 percent of the entire planet and supplies about 70 percent of our oxygen. Yet we still don’t know exactly what’s down there. Let this quick infographic be your guide to at least getting started. Enjoy!

Come one guys, let’s get some perspective here…”James Cameron followed, and scientists are beginning to follow in Don Walsh and Jacques Piccard’s footsteps…” please!
The focus must go on the true pioneers, the first brave men to venture into the deep, without the benefit of hindsight, modern technology and materials.
