A new online community aims to help teachers who are looking to figure out the best way to deploy education technology. Epic-Ed has partnered with the Department of Education, the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at North Carolina State University, and the Consortium for School Networking.
It’s designed to be a helpful tool specifically for teachers and administrators launching technology in education. It’s not a bad idea but I wonder if people will still turn to Twitter, Facebook, Learnist, and Google+ for advice first. In any case, I love seeing this kind of development! Especially when it’s a new tool that benefits teachers at no cost to them. What could be better?
Some features of Epic-Ed include a regular discussion on Fridays for teachers using technology, a monthly series on secondary school principals, a resource library for the digital transition, and more.
