We heard about an innovative new tool that’s perfect for anyone who wants to explore the history of education. From the first known school (in the year 2000 BC) to the Apple iPad and beyond, it’s all in this interactive history of education timeline. The new interactive timeline is available at edhistory.com and is worth checking out!

There are currently about 85 different entries scattered across the timeline. Obviously not a completely thorough account but look for this to be regularly updated. In fact, you may want to reach out to Brian Tate, the creator, and offer dates of important things that happened in education.

Click the image below to view the interactive timeline. It’s worth spending some time on!

I must be missing something and am very interested in seeing this. When I click the link, it is just an image – not interactive.

Where is the interactivity? Just a image on Chrome and Firefox. Would be really cool if it ever works?

    • Be sure to click the link or the image! I couldn’t embed the timeline so be sure to check out the site.

  • it is cool… clink the link above the graphic, silly people http://edhistory.com/

  • What software is used to create that timeline?

  • Pretty sure its just an image. Maybe its broken or something.

    • You have to click the link to view the actual site. You can’t embed it into a webpage but we did our best to show what it looks like!
