Instead of simply focusing on nature exclusively, one of the best things a student can be taught about the environment is to question everything –EVERYTHING– about what they hear concerning the environment. And to do that requires a basic understanding, as well as the respect, of science which is not exactly popular among many Americans these days as they were rather wallow in their own ignorance about both science and the environment rather thanI have their opinions challenged by facts.
