Just as a reference, wikipedia is not a reliable resource. We are banned from using it in college. You should keep that in mind when using it in the classroom. Any person on the planet can go into a page and change the information. This makes it unreliable.

I tried pursuing an online degree about seven years ago and found it difficult to do without a classroom and teacher. Now that technology has evolved and offers more options for learning, I was reconsidering going to school online. I still haven't made it to the classroom and it would give me an opportunity to finally earn my degree.

Hi, I think this is an excellent list and a good guide for parents looking for more from children's television. We are a small company making short, ten-minute fun films about really famous people from history like Isaac Newton, Vincent Van Gogh, Galileo, Christopher Columbus and many more. We aim to tell kids the life story of these well-known names in an engaging and simple way. Educationalists, parents and teachers tell us that this simple, fun format works well with young children as well as adults who've forgotten exactly who the famous scientists Marie Curie is and what she did. Please check out our website and if you like it, consider adding us to your list next time!

I converted to Google Drive but our company has been relying on Google Docs for the past several years. All of our folders and file structures are set up in a very specific way. How do I get all the same folders (collections) and files that appear on my current Google Docs to appear the same way on Google Drive?

Thanks for your help!

Khan Academy is great and it is even better when you, as a teacher, can share Khan's content with your students through the use of ipads. The app I'm talking about is Nearpod, which has featured presentations from Khan Academy but it comes with questions and assessments included, videos and polls! it works fine when trying to engage your class. you just need to download the app, sign up and there you'll be: ready to enjoy khan's content. If you liked my idea, Nearpod's webpage is www.nearpod.com
I hope you have a look at it!

@Richard

While most tablets do the same basic things that the iPad can, it is the selection of apps that set the iPad apart. At this time, all of the other tablets on offer simply cannot compete.

If you're looking for something that does basic web browsing and note taking, any tablet will do. Once you've started looking at all of the apps available for the iPad, you'll most likely discover that only the iPad will do.

I hope one day the other tablets will be able to catch up and allow an alternative to Apple. Maybe Windows 8 tablets will be up to the task. Until then, we are stuck with a solitary device to consider...

This is a good article, has its own style, to write a good article, make your life more upscale, or simply in order to attract the eye of others, in fact, this is just one part of which, to look at some good articles to their own progress faster, more fashion, more knowledge rich. This is a good thing.

I think tablets are a great idea, but I do question why everyone is hung up on using ipads (the most expensive option) when there are other (less well branded) options out there. For every ipad you could get two Archos tablets for example. From my (admittedly limited) knowledge these can do most things an ipad can do, and in the days of tight budgets, surely these options should be considered?
